The supporters of Osby booed when Stjärnhov ff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Calle Molander came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Stjärnhov ff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calle Molander couldn't finish the play. August Törnkvist's late challenge caught a Osby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. August Törnkvist helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stjärnhov ff getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. August Törnkvist hit a great ball. Robert Strömberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jens-Åke Wållander. When Alfred Söderkvist came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Stjärnhov ff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Söderkvist couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Ove Isaksson got free with Robert Strömberg in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. August Törnkvist got his second yellow card in the match during the 29th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Vassenius in the 31st minute of play forced Stjärnhov ff's goalkeeper Robert Strömberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Stjärnhov ff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Säv to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match, Sven-Ove Isaksson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robert Strömberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sven-Ove Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Strömberg having to interfere. If Vilgot Vassenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the match, Vilgot Vassenius notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Stjärnhov ff's Robert Strömberg. Robert Strömberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the match, Stjärnhov ff's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Vassenius came free, but Robert Strömberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calle Molander's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Kent Smitt on his right side and into the goal. 63 minutes into the game it was 1-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Alfred Söderkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stjärnhov ff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfred Söderkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stjärnhov ff's Alfred Söderkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Calle Molander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilgot Vassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Robert Strömberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sven-Ove Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, Vilgot Vassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
