Karl-Åke Hellström took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Verner Nordmark. Verner Nordmark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ulf Deckbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Asplund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Verner Nordmark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliver Uter's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Verner Nordmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Åke Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ulf Deckbergh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Asplund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sivert Blom hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Uter in the 33rd minute of play forced Hajom's goalkeeper Verner Nordmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Deckbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Asplund in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Arne Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hajom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Asplund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hampus Låsberg's late challenge caught a Hajom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hampus Låsberg helped the player get up and apologised. Hampus Låsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gunnared KIF's zone, Robert Karlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulf Deckbergh came out of the goal and Robert Karlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Asplund to make the kick off. A collision led to Gunnared KIF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oliver Uter hit a great ball. Arne Asplund charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Asplund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Arne Asplund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunnared KIF's Karl-Åke Hellström got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arne Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Deckbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Karlberg in the 62nd minute of the match. Jan Västlund kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Karl-Åke Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Nordmark saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Åke Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Nordmark having to interfere. Oliver Uter might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Verner Nordmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Uter ran back to his position shaking his head. If Oliver Uter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oliver Uter came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gunnared KIF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Uter couldn't finish the play. Karl-Åke Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Nordmark having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gunnared KIF's Karl-Åke Hellström in the 99th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Verner Nordmark was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Hajom through an amazing save. Gunnared KIF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
