Bertil Strand hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, Älmestad IF's Christopher Örtendahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Palmquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Älmestad IF's Magnus Ryberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Palmquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Christopher Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Marcus Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Axelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Marcus Palmquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Örtendahl in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes Örgryte IS got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Hammarberg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Ryberg in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Palmquist saved Örgryte IS from getting behind. Marcus Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Örtendahl in the 28th minute of play. Magnus Ryberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anders Haström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 played minutes Tommy Falk rounded Älmestad IF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magnus Ryberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertil Strand struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Marc Skager didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örgryte IS. Anders Haström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc Skager read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Edmund Lund charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmund Lund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Älmestad IF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Edmund Lund hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Anders Haström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marc Skager was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. With a little luck, Örgryte IS's Marcus Palmquist got control of the ball when Christopher Örtendahl tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Älmestad IF's Magnus Ryberg in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Örgryte IS's goalie prevented a goal. Christopher Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Marcus Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Magnus Ryberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marc Skager came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Örgryte IS's Tommy Falk. But to his dismay, Tommy Falk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Anders Haström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Sigman charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Sigman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Älmestad IF getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Dennis Sigman hit a great ball. The Älmestad IF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Örgryte IS from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
