Alf Uggstedt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Karl-Oskar Västerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes, Jack Gunnarsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Väskinde IF and the Renova IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Renova IK booed when Väskinde IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Dahlgren in the 28th minute of play forced Väskinde IF's goalkeeper Pål Stigsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Vallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Väskinde IF's Pål Stigsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Oskar Västerberg in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kenneth Dahlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renova IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Dahlgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pål Stigsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renova IK's Rickard Vallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Åström in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erland Björk was the one to do the kick off. Erling Åström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Vallander having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Erland Björk notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Renova IK's Rickard Vallander. Pål Stigsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Västerberg in the 87th minute of play. Ove Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Väskinde IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Renova IK.
