Gert Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Oskar Västerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Eckegren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, sevilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Eckegren to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Browall to make the kick off. Rickard Vallander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Siggman went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Karl-Oskar Västerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. sevilla's Gert Sjöö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save sevilla from getting a goal against them. Karl-Oskar Västerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gert Sjöö acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bengt-Rune Sjöberg. The supporters of Renova IK booed when sevilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Caspersson didn't get a good kick on the ball.
