Spectators: 7045 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustav Olsman started the match with the kick off. Hans Jonasson charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Jonasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Hans Jonasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Lundgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Blom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Sturefors IK's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Hägert came free, but Tomas Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Hägert in the 8th minute of play. Tomas Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Olsman, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gustav Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Blom having to interfere. Hans Bergren took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arvin Holmstedt. Arvin Holmstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gustav Olsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 27 played minutes Älmestad RK got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Lundgren. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Bergren got free with Arvin Holmstedt in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Robin Hägert came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Älmestad RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robin Hägert couldn't finish the play. Tomas Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Hägert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magnus Ennegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 played minutes Sturefors IK got a freekick which was hit by Sten Bergström. Daniel Lundgren struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Tomas Blom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Älmestad RK. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magnus Ennegren made a kick off. Sturefors IK's Magnus Ennegren got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magnus Ennegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvin Holmstedt having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Jörgen Gadd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magnus Ennegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68thth minute of the game Hans Bergren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Älmestad RK's Arvin Holmstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute Hans Bergren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvin Holmstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Olsman in the 72nd minute of play forced Sturefors IK's goalkeeper Tomas Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magnus Ennegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvin Holmstedt having to interfere. Hans Bergren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Arvin Holmstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Magnus Ennegren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sturefors IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Ennegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sturefors IK's Jakob Nyberg got a free kick in the 90th minute. Robin Hägert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tomas Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Älmestad RK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
