The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Utter got free with Josef Linquist in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, TOPPTRIM's Markus Linqvist got a free kick in the 13th minute. Charles Ström hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Utter got free with Josef Linquist in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TOPPTRIM's Nils-Emil Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Lundgren in the 21st minute of play. Josef Linquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Utter in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Tommy Utter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Josef Linquist. Tommy Utter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ulf Säfström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Josef Linquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Utö IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Björkkvist. Nils-Emil Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Björkkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, TOPPTRIM's Charles Ström got a free kick in the 40th minute. Torgny Åberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nils-Emil Sundström. TOPPTRIM's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Arne Hurtig notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of TOPPTRIM's Nils-Emil Sundström. Nils-Emil Sundström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jerry Deckbergh to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommy Utter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes TOPPTRIM got a freekick which was hit by Elias Hamberg. TOPPTRIM's Nils-Emil Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Siöman in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TOPPTRIM's Kristian Viberg got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 72 minutes of play, Utö IK's Arne Hurtig made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils-Emil Sundström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulf Säfström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josef Linquist having to interfere. Arne Hurtig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Nils-Emil Sundström made a huge save. Arne Hurtig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, Tommy Hafström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Nils-Emil Sundström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Deckbergh in the 93rd minute of play forced TOPPTRIM's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
