The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Knut Björck from a close distance when the talented Sven Björkqvist managed to make a qualified save. FC Hollywood city's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Tony Ljungberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hollywood city's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Ljungberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Morat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Hjortsberg in the 14th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Petersson came free, but Hubert Morat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Eliasson got free with Sven Björkqvist in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, FC Hollywood city's goalkeeper Sven Björkqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Eliasson. Hubert Morat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Ljungberg in the 26th minute of play. FC Hollywood city's Sven Björkqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hollywood city from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Knut Björck in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Björkqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute Eskil Dalkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Morat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 played minutes, FC Hollywood city's August Wennerström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hubert Morat came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Hollywood city reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Petersson to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Westerberg in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Hollywood city's goalkeeper Sven Björkqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes, Tony Ljungberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hollywood city and the Göteborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tony Ljungberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, FC Hollywood city's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Björck came free, but Sven Björkqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Hollywood city getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sven-Ove Böcklund hit a great ball. The supporters of Göteborg booed when FC Hollywood city was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Sundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Björkqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 minutes of play FC Hollywood city's Sven-Ove Böcklund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes FC Hollywood city got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Böcklund. If Leo Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Hägg hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Knut Björck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allan Hjortsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Göteborg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
