Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Knut Björck started the match with the kick off. If Knut Björck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ingvar Näver scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Morat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Ekerö IF defense, Knut Björck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennart Rydberg. The Ekerö IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennart Rydberg should have stopped the shot. Knut Björck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lennart Rydberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ingvar Näver fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ekerö IF's protests and gave Ingvar Näver a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Ingvar Näver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göteborg's Hubert Morat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Göteborg from getting a goal against them. Nils-Erik Blomqvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Hubert Morat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bengt-Arne Åkerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hubert Morat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Åkerström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Bengt-Arne Åkerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Morat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Bengt-Arne Åkerström took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Hubert Morat to make any attempt to save it. Hubert Morat was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Linus Kjellberg. Allan Hjortsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Arne Åkerström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Ekerö IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

The wind increased when Bengt-Arne Åkerström made the kick off in the second half. If Allan Hjortsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Kvick's late challenge caught a Göteborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Kvick helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Ekerö IF got a freekick which was hit by André Kvick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knut Björck in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennart Rydberg saved Ekerö IF from getting behind. Hubert Morat didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt-Arne Åkerström went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 68 minutes into the match, Nils-Erik Blomqvist notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Göteborg's Hubert Morat. Hubert Morat was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 71 minutes into the match, Nils-Erik Blomqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Morat. Göteborg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nils-Erik Blomqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Nils-Erik Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Morat having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Erik Blomqvist came free, but Hubert Morat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ekerö IF's Lennart Rydberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Björck in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Bengt-Arne Åkerström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hubert Morat was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. 90 minutes into the game, Ekerö IF's Olof Nyström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hubert Morat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1.
