Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claes Öman started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Claes Öman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alf Spetz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the match, Ljungby's Johannes Östensson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alf Spetz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johannes Östensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alf Spetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Claes Öman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ljungby's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Öman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Spetz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alf Spetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Östensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alfred Stigsson made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Hubert Kjellqvist sent off a good shot on target. After 30 played minutes Björkliden got a freekick which was hit by Torgny Billström. In the 32nd minute, Hubert Kjellqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ljungby's Sture Holmgren got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hubert Kjellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björkliden's supporters rose to their feet, but Hubert Kjellqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Stigsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hubert Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Stigsson having to interfere. After the first half Ljungby were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ove Gunnarsson made the kick off in the second half. Johannes Östensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Spetz having to interfere. Evert Haeger kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Karl Dalgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfred Stigsson. Ljungby's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Ljungby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Skog to maneuver through the defense. Björkliden's Hubert Kjellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute Ove Gunnarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Stigsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ove Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hubert Kjellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Skog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Nässén was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Björkliden! Claes Öman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 98th minute, Johannes Östensson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Björkliden fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ljungby were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
