In the 23rd minute, Claes Månsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfred Stigsson, passed just outside the right post. Dark Souls's Nils-Emil Blomqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Östensson in the 32nd minute of play. Johannes Östensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Claes Öman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ljungby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alfred Stigsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Månsson in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Claes Öman made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dark Souls booed when Ljungby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Skog didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Claes Månsson came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Dark Souls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claes Månsson couldn't finish the play. In the 59thth minute of the game Sebastian Låsberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ljungby's Alfred Stigsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claes Månsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Stigsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claes Månsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Rune Törnblom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ljungby getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Claes Öman hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Claes Månsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dark Souls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 72nd minute, Georg Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Öman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johannes Östensson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nils-Emil Blomqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungby. Nils-Emil Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Öman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nils-Emil Blomqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Öman in the 83rd minute of play. When Ingvar Ambjörnsson fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dark Souls's protests and gave Ingvar Ambjörnsson a yellow card for diving instead. Claes Öman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Nils-Emil Blomqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dark Souls's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
