The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lingbo's goalkeeper Kenneth Käcker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bergvik IFK's Charlie Markusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Walroth in the 5th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Bergvik IFK's Per Ström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lingbo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olov Felin in the 15th minute. When Per Ström fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergvik IFK's protests and gave Per Ström a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bergvik IFK's Per Ström got a free kick in the 16th minute. Kent Walroth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Markusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Morgan Hammarström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bergvik IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lingbo the free kick. In the 58th minute, Villiam Mellbad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bergvik IFK's Charlie Markusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Villiam Mellbad in the 62nd minute of play. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Bergvik IFK's Charlie Markusson to catch but Olov Felin was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Per Ströms short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Kenneth Käcker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
