Martin Haraldsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Harlén having to interfere. Fredric Harlén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Åkerman's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Hjo's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Kämpe came free, but Kent Bark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Bergsten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Kent Bark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Herman Kämpe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kent Bark. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. A collision led to Sibbhult FF getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Valter Jonasson hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Sibbhult FF's Herman Kämpe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Bark narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Sibbhult FF's Herman Kämpe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kent Bark. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Herman Kämpe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Herman Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Bark having to interfere. Kent Bark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Kämpe in the 36th minute of play. If Roger Bergsten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sibbhult FF booed when Hjo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Västberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Herman Kämpe made the kick off in the second half. Kent Bark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bergsten's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Sibbhult FF's Herman Kämpe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kent Bark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Kent Bark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Kämpe in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Hjo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joacim Olsson to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes, Sibbhult FF's Filiph Rudkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kent Bark came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sibbhult FF reached it. In the 64th minute, Calle Friberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredric Harlén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Åkerman in the 70th minute of play. Hjo's Kurt Åkerman got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sven-Åke Pilblad fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sibbhult FF's protests and gave Sven-Åke Pilblad a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sibbhult FF getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sven-Åke Pilblad hit a great ball. Kurt Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent Bark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Bergsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Hjo defense, Herman Kämpe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kent Bark. The Hjo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kent Bark should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Kurt Åkerman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Martin Haraldsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fredric Harlén. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Haraldsson ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes in the game, Kurt Åkerman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fredric Harlén having to interfere. Fredric Harlén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Åkerman in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hjo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sibbhult FF.
