Herrljunga's August Skröder managed to work through Hälsö IK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, one of Herrljunga:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Torgny Kalfhage had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Krister Gadd's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Hälsö IK's Ingemar Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesper Kellberg in the 45th minute of play. Sonny Rolfsson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig-Ove Josefsson to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Herrljunga booed when Hälsö IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Gadd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Ove Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Kalfhage having to interfere. August Skröder's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Ingemar Dahlgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 82 minutes into the match, Jesper Kellberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingemar Dahlgren. Hälsö IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesper Kellberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 90 minutes into the match, Hälsö IK's goalkeeper Ingemar Dahlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by August Skröder. In the 93rd minute Jesper Kellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Dahlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jesper Kellberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ingemar Dahlgren. That made the score 0-6 in the 97 minute of play. Herrljunga played a much better game than Hälsö IK and deserved their victory. The Hälsö IK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
