Spectators: 7244 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Leonard Dahlbom started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Olenberg got free with Per Rolfsson in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henry Löv showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Gregersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. If Christopher Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Gregersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Henry Löv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viggo Forsberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Per Rolfsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Viggo Forsberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Per Gregersson took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Löv. Henry Löv dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, STRIX IK's goalkeeper Per Rolfsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Olenberg. Henry Löv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Dahlbom in the 38th minute of play. If Bo Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viggo Forsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Rolfsson having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viggo Forsberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Christopher Olenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christopher Olenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Rolfsson having to interfere. Christopher Olenberg took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per Rolfsson. Per Rolfsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 68th minute, Leonard Dahlbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. STRIX IK's Per Rolfsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viggo Forsberg in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Olenberg in the 71st minute of play forced STRIX IK's goalkeeper Per Rolfsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Leonard Dahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, STRIX IK's goal looked a bit too open when Viggo Forsberg came free, but Per Rolfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christopher Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes STRIX IK got a freekick which was hit by Per-Oskar Gummeson. After having played for 93 minutes, Leonard Dahlbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STRIX IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Dahlbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Christopher Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
