Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Leonard Dahlbom kicked off to start the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Per Gregersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STRIX IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Gregersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell Enström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Rolfsson having to interfere. In the 10thth minute of the game Per Gregersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birra Moretti's Johnny Öfverman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per Rolfsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Engström in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Oskar Gummeson during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Birra Moretti booed when STRIX IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Gummeson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Fristedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Per Rolfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Börje Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Rolfsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Gregersson in the 25th minute of play forced Birra Moretti's goalkeeper Johnny Öfverman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per Rolfsson made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Kurt Fristedt sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Birra Moretti's goal looked a bit too open when Per Gregersson came free, but Johnny Öfverman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Per-Oskar Gummeson came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the STRIX IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per-Oskar Gummeson couldn't finish the play. Leonard Dahlbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Öfverman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Kjell Enström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Birra Moretti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STRIX IK the free kick. 47 minutes into the match, STRIX IK's Vincent Tillman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Börje Engström to strike the kick off in the second half. If Leonard Dahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th minute, one of Birra Moretti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Birra Moretti. 60 minutes into the match, Birra Moretti's goalkeeper Johnny Öfverman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Gregersson. Kurt Fristedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Börje Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Per Rolfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Engström in the 67th minute of play forced STRIX IK's goalkeeper Per Rolfsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. STRIX IK's Johnny Hammarström got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kjell Enström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Per Rolfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kurt Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Oskar Gummeson was shown his second yellow card after 86 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Per-Oskar Gummeson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Kurt Fristedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Rolfsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Gregersson got free with Johnny Öfverman in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Fristedt in the 99th minute of play forced STRIX IK's goalkeeper Per Rolfsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched STRIX IK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
