Edwin Haraldsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ove Nordström made a huge save. Bertil Telin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Hök in the 18th minute of the match. If Arvid Browald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arvid Browald might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bertil Telin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Bovallstrand defense, Elof Hök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bertil Telin. The Bovallstrand fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertil Telin should have stopped the shot. Bertil Telin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elof Hök went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Alf Hagström fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bovallstrand's protests and gave Alf Hagström a yellow card for diving instead. Alf Hagström hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Tim Dalberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bertil Telin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Edwin Haraldsson made a precise shot to the right of Ove Nordström. Gais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Bovallstrand getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Björn Bergström hit a great ball. Tim Dalberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Gais were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arvid Browald stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexander Lindblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Dalberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Telin having to interfere. Bovallstrand's Bertil Telin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elof Hök in the 62nd minute of play. Björn Bergström hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play Bovallstrand's Alf Hagström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 65th minute, Alf Hagström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Lindblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Telin having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Arvid Browald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arvid Browald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvid Browald in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Telin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Lindblom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elof Hök got free with Bertil Telin in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 79 minutes on the clock, Ulrik Odeen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ulrik Odeen kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Gais's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Glanselius came free, but Ove Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Telin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gais.
