In the 4th minute Lars Markusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Lindholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Husqvarna FF's Casper Arvidsson got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casper Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Oskar Sjö tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Göran Lindqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Gräddö Ocean Club a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ingmar Jonasson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Husqvarna FF's Bengt-Rune Lindholm. 0-1. Göran Lindqvist scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Rune Lindholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Husqvarna FF's Krister Andberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Casper Arvidsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Bengt-Rune Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Lindqvist in the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Husqvarna FF got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Björk. Ingmar Jonasson, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Lindqvist in the 61st minute of play forced Husqvarna FF's goalkeeper Bengt-Rune Lindholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Jerry Åkesson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerry Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Rune Lindholm made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Lars Markusson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Gräddö Ocean Club booed when Husqvarna FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Arvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Markusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Krister Andberg came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Husqvarna FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krister Andberg couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Rune Lindholm made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ingmar Jonasson sent off a good shot on target. Sonny Björk's late challenge caught a Gräddö Ocean Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Björk helped the player get up and apologised. Sonny Björk hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Lars Markusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Göran Lindqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Rune Lindholm. That made the score 1-4 in the 87 minute of play. In the 97th match minute, Husqvarna FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. The Gräddö Ocean Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gräddö Ocean Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
