The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Per-Arne Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Hellström having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Ekström got free with Håkan Billberg in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Västantorps IF's goalkeeper Kjell Hellström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Västantorps IF's Kjell Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Kvick in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Sjögren in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kjell Hellström saved Västantorps IF from getting behind. Gösta Sjögren struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Kjell Hellström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC UAC20. Dan Knutsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, FC UAC20's Esbjörn Rudqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kjell Hellström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Gösta Sjögren managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC UAC20's supporters rose to their feet, but Gösta Sjögren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Hellström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC UAC20 booed when Västantorps IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gösta Sjögren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Fritz Hurtig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Billberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gösta Sjögren in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kjell Hellström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jens Överman charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens Överman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Håkan Billberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Hurtig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Mikael Ekström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Håkan Billberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gösta Sjögren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kjell Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Västantorps IF got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Hurtig. FC UAC20 played a much better game than Västantorps IF and deserved their victory. The Västantorps IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
