Gilbert Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoffer Ekelund in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Christoffer Ekelund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ljusne and the FC Mommelycke players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Ljusne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Ekelund to maneuver through the defense. The Ljusne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gilbert Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Ekelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 0-3 became the score in the 39th minute when Christoffer Ekelund elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. FC Mommelycke's Gilbert Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Björklund in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th of the match, Tobias Wennerqvist tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Patrick Lindström got in the way and made a wonderful save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 played minutes FC Mommelycke got a freekick which was hit by Christer Gallberg. If Christoffer Ekelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tobias Wennerqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Lindström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. If Lennart Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Ekelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gilbert Bäckström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilbert Bäckström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennart Björklund in the 85th minute. In the 88th match minute, Ljusne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristoffer Backlund to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ljusne eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
