Algot Kollberg came out of the goal and Eric Jespersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig Brodin charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig Brodin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After taking down the ball on Torshälla FK's corner Robert Håning fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Algot Kollberg quite easily take care of the ball. If Jonas Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ola Olofsson was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Albert Hermansson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albert Hermansson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Torshälla FK's Karl Eliasson got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Karl Eliasson off the ground. Victor Qvarnström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

During the 51st minute of the match Stig Brodin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stig Brodin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Torshälla FK booed when Vartofta FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Brodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vartofta FK's Algot Kollberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Vartofta FK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Eliasson got free with Algot Kollberg in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute, Vartofta FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonas Eliasson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
