Spectators: 7257 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) When Henrik Bergström came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Motala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Bergström couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Henrik Bergström made a precise shot to the right of Osvald Kuse. Malmö Idrottsklubb's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Osvald Kuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Rolfsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Anthon Grönlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Hjortsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Rolfsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristian Wiman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Anthon Grönlund made a huge save. Anthon Grönlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Hjortsberg in the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Sellberg during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Motala getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alf Sellberg hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Kristian Wiman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmö Idrottsklubb's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Wiman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oskar Karlberg struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Osvald Kuse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motala. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristian Wiman got free with Anthon Grönlund in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 46 minutes of play, Motala's Alf Sellberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvald Kuse was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristian Wiman was the one to do the kick off. Henrik Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvald Kuse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Rolfsson in the 56th minute. A collision led to Malmö Idrottsklubb getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Kristian Wiman hit a great ball. Osvald Kuse was a little too slow when Henrik Bergström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 71st minute, Oliver Hjortsberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Verner Blom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Malmö Idrottsklubb's Osvald Kuse didn't even have to move. The supporters of Motala booed when Malmö Idrottsklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Classon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malmö Idrottsklubb's zone, Henrik Bergström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvald Kuse came out of the goal and Henrik Bergström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristian Wiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Hjortsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Anthon Grönlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
