Bengt Martinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Helberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Hammarby IF fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Hammarby IF's Jack Stor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bengt Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Stor in the 14th minute of the match. Hammarby IF's Jack Stor got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Hubert Lind got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Eliasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Örtlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Bengt Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jack Stor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bengt Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Charles Johnsson during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dala-Husby BF! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Hammarby IF. Jan-Ove Kielstedt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bengt Martinsson. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvin Kielberg during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edvin Kielberg hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Harry Örtlund was a little too slow when George Eliasson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-2. The supporters of Dala-Husby BF booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Helberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Örtlund acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Charles Johnsson. Kjell Björkman charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Björkman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Kjell Björkman got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Alexander Helberg made the kick off in the second half. Jack Stor struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Bengt Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hammarby IF. Harry Örtlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Eliasson in the 59th minute of the match. Bengt Martinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Helberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Alexander Helberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hubert Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Harry Örtlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Helberg in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Martinsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Helberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torbjörn Wallin hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Harry Örtlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Eliasson went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Hammarby IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
