Leif Stor had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Karl-Erik Abelsson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jens-Erik Palm might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leif Stor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Erik Palm ran back to his position shaking his head. If Christopher Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karl-Erik Abelsson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Värmdö FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Erik Abelsson couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Anton Brummer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christopher Gunnarsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dick Mårtensson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 44th minute, Löddeköpinge BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jens-Erik Palm fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

54 minutes into the match, Värmdö FK's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Myr came free, but Dick Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christopher Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dick Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Nyman in the 64th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Manfred Nyman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sven-Åke Asmundsson's late challenge caught a Värmdö FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Löddeköpinge BK's protests and gave Christopher Gunnarsson a yellow card for diving instead.
