The audience was convinced that Joar Holmstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egon Olofsson was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hubert Lindqvist hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Bäcklin in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egon Olofsson saved Insjön FF from getting behind. Kåre Bryngelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kåre Bryngelsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Överturingen FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kåre Bryngelsson to maneuver through the defense. Egon Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joar Holmstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Magnus Bäcklin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joar Holmstedt came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Överturingen FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joar Holmstedt couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Valentin Markusson put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Egon Olofsson. If Magnus Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Magnus Bäcklin might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egon Olofsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magnus Bäcklin ran back to his position shaking his head. Överturingen FF's Magnus Bäcklin got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Alvar Norberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Magnus Bäcklin came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Överturingen FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magnus Bäcklin couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hubert Lindqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Egon Olofsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joar Holmstedt went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Joar Holmstedt came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Egon Olofsson could save by the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Insjön FF's goalkeeper Egon Olofsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joar Holmstedt. Överturingen FF's Kåre Bryngelsson pulled a muscle in his back after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Thomas Jonsson's late challenge caught a Överturingen FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Jonsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Överturingen FF booed when Insjön FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Jonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilhelm Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A hard shot 69 in the game by Joar Holmstedt from a close distance when the talented Egon Olofsson managed to make a qualified save. Insjön FF's players were relieved. Hubert Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Olov Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bror Blom fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Insjön FF's protests and gave Bror Blom a yellow card for diving instead. Bror Blom hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Stellan Granberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egon Olofsson made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Joar Holmstedt sent off a good shot on target. 93 minutes into the match, Hubert Lindqvist notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Överturingen FF's Olov Ivarsson. Olov Ivarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
