Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Häger in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Sundin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Holmsjö IF's zone, Henry Häger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Sundin came out of the goal and Henry Häger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magnus Matsson struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bo Sundin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmsjö IF. Ingvar Hellkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Odman might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristian Sundin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathias Odman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Matsson in the 26th minute of play forced IF Vasaparken's goalkeeper Bo Sundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Magnus Matsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmsjö IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Magnus Matsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bo Sundin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Hellkvist in the 34th minute of play forced Holmsjö IF's goalkeeper Kristian Sundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IF Vasaparken's Patrik Lööf was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kristian Sundin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kristian Sundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Hellkvist in the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Holmsjö IF getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Anders Stigsson hit a great ball. If Mathias Odman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincent Asserlindh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Hellkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. IF Vasaparken's Henry Häger got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of IF Vasaparken booed when Holmsjö IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Asserlindh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bo Sundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Matsson in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, IF Vasaparken's Mathias Odman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Henry Häger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mathias Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry Häger during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
