Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulf Alström took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tord Rydelius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Hellsing, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Hampus Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalle Alegren having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Nye IK got a freekick which was hit by Anton Kråk. After having played for 13 minutes, Daniel Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sörbygden IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Hellsing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Söderqwist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Kalle Alegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sörbygden IFK booed when Nye IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Bennet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalle Alegren made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Anton Kråk sent off a good shot on target. Hampus Lindqvist's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kalle Alegren firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kalle Alegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Söderqwist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tord Rydelius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Daniel Hellsing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Hellsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Rydelius having to interfere. Nye IK's Tord Rydelius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Alström in the 41st minute of play. If Erik Söderqwist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Erik Söderqwist made the kick off in the second half. Ulf Alström struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tord Rydelius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sörbygden IFK. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Daniel Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sörbygden IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Hellsing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tord Rydelius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Erik Söderqwist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nye IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Daniel Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
