In the 10th minute, Dick Kristiansson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christer Axelsson. The goal made the score 1-0. When Filiph Blomqvist came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Gröndals BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiph Blomqvist couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Filiph Blomqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charlie Nord was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Helge Siöberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christer Axelsson was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Sten Näver capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sten Näver really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 28th minute Egon Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Nord saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gröndals BK's Christer Axelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Gröndals BK from getting a goal against them. Ingvar Törnkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Christer Axelsson made a huge save. Charlie Nord didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filiph Blomqvist went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Vilhelm Wållander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

A collision led to Smedjebacken BF getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ingvar Törnkvist hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the game, Dick Kristiansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smedjebacken BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gröndals BK the free kick. After 57 played minutes Smedjebacken BF got a freekick which was hit by Dick Kristiansson. Egon Björklund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charlie Nord came out and tried to block the shot, but Egon Björklund slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 59th minute. Charlie Nord took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kjell-Arne Örtlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Charlie Nord tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filiph Blomqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Charlie Nord when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Filiph Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Charlie Nord tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72nd play minutes Filiph Blomqvist shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Charlie Nord and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filiph Blomqvist got free with Charlie Nord in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ingvar Törnkvist struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Christer Axelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smedjebacken BF. If Filiph Blomqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rutger Söderberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charlie Nord came out and tried to block the shot, but Rutger Söderberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 89th minute. Christer Axelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Törnkvist in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Sten Näver left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Smedjebacken BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. When the match was over Gröndals BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Smedjebacken BF throughout the match.
