Valentin Rosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Qvalfeldt having to interfere. When Åby IF's Kjell-Arne Nordström in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MangeFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute, Jan-Ove Melin made a precise shot to the right of Dan Qvalfeldt. MangeFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 17thth minute of the game Jan-Ove Melin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MangeFC's Dan Qvalfeldt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Jan-Ove Melin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Åby IF's Valentin Rosen in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MangeFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, MangeFC's Folke Wiman got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jan-Ove Melin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Qvalfeldt having to make a save. Åby IF's Roy Hansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Åby IF from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Åby IF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Oliver Hagström hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Valentin Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åby IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Rosen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Qvalfeldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malcolm Ljungberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Rosen made a kick off. Valentin Rosen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Östen Hamnberg's late challenge caught a Åby IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Östen Hamnberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Östen Hamnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Jan-Ove Melin managed to get in a good position for a shot. MangeFC's Dan Qvalfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Rosen in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Jan-Ove Melin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åby IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Valentin Rosen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dan Qvalfeldt, 1-3. Oliver Hagström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Qvalfeldt having to interfere. Karl-Oskar Sandwall kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Peter Lundin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dan Qvalfeldt. MangeFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dan Qvalfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Rosen in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Valentin Rosen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Qvalfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Ove Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Qvalfeldt having to interfere.
