The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Per Arvidsson a yellow card for diving instead. Rikard Olofsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per-Arne Billvall having to make a save. When Rikard Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rikard Olofsson couldn't finish the play. Rikard Olofsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, one of Ödåkra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ödåkra. The goalkeeper, Per-Arne Billvall, was totally fooled by Real Madrid's Elias Mattsson, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Christopher Tidéksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Arne Billvall having to interfere. The supporters of Real Madrid booed when Ödåkra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Tidéksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Arne Billvall having to interfere. The Ödåkra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ödåkra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
