Rickard Aronsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Lang having to interfere. Harry Uggla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Klavreström getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Klas Lund hit a great ball. Harry Uggla might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hjalmar Söderberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harry Uggla ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Västerås SK booed when Klavreström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Haegg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hannes Täman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Lang having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Aronsson in the 30th minute of play forced Klavreström's goalkeeper Kenneth Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Harry Uggla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hjalmar Söderberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Västerås SK's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Uggla came free, but Hjalmar Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute Tony Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjalmar Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Harry Uggla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harry Uggla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Harry Uggla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Klavreström's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Uggla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harry Uggla in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hjalmar Söderberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute Tony Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjalmar Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Aronsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Harry Uggla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hjalmar Söderberg. Västerås SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Uggla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Hjalmar Söderberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Uggla in the 76th minute of the match. Harry Uggla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hjalmar Söderberg having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Klavreström's Tony Ivarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hjalmar Söderberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rickard Aronsson got free with Kenneth Lang in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Tony Ivarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hjalmar Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Harry Uggla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
