The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Billy Johnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Sverker Alströmmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Eagle FC got a freekick which was hit by August Åström. 13 minutes into the match, Sten Hegg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sverker Alströmmer, 1-0. Per Kellman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Engström in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Engström in the 24th minute of play forced Ryd's goalkeeper Per Kellman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Engström succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Alvin Fanström might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sverker Alströmmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvin Fanström ran back to his position shaking his head. Sverker Alströmmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Fanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Markus Engström scored 2-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Per Kellman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
