Klas Alebäck started the match with the kick off. Billy Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gustaf Ingemarsson fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Björbo's protests and gave Gustaf Ingemarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Gustaf Ingemarsson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Eagle FC's Billy Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Johnsson in the 8th minute of play forced Björbo's goalkeeper Joakim Rolandsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Gustaf Ingemarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Johnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Joakim Rolandsson made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Engström in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joakim Rolandsson saved Björbo from getting behind. Sverker Alströmmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Alebäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Klas Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41stth minute of the game Sven-Erik Käller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eagle FC's Sverker Alströmmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Billy Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Billy Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Rolandsson having to interfere. Klas Alebäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonatan Wallmark's late challenge caught a Björbo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonatan Wallmark helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Jonatan Wallmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Engström in the 59th minute of play forced Björbo's goalkeeper Joakim Rolandsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Engström in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joakim Rolandsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Stig Valström fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eagle FC's protests and gave Stig Valström a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Eagle FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Björbo:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Alebäck in the 77th minute of play forced Eagle FC's goalkeeper Sverker Alströmmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klas Alebäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sverker Alströmmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Billy Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Eagle FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Johnsson couldn't finish the play. After 95 minutes, Torsten Haeger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Björbo and the Eagle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Björbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Haeger to maneuver through the defense.
