Mantorp's Fredrik Brodin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Mantorp from getting a goal against them. Markus Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Eagle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Eriksson came free, but Sverker Alströmmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Fagerberg in the 18th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Vidar Olsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mantorp and the Eagle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Eagle FC booed when Mantorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sven Kleen in the 24th minute really tested Fredrik Brodin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fredrik Brodin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Billy Johnsson in the 29th minute. Sverker Alströmmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Eriksson in the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Valentin Fagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Alströmmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Fagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Alströmmer having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Erik Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mantorp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Eriksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markus Engström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fredrik Brodin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Engström's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Fredrik Brodin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Johnsson went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Eagle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Bäckström came free, but Sverker Alströmmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Eriksson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sverker Alströmmer firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sverker Alströmmer made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Erik Eriksson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Eagle FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jonatan Wallmark hit a great ball. With a little luck, Eagle FC's Sverker Alströmmer got control of the ball when Erik Eriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mantorp's Fredrik Brodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Johnsson in the 70th minute of play. Fredrik Brodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Engström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Karl-Åke Sjöberg hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78thth minute of the game Billy Johnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mantorp's Fredrik Brodin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Eriksson during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Erik Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Johnsson scored 2-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fredrik Brodin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
