The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zebastian Pilberg took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mark Åkesson. Mark Åkesson came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Önnestad's Zebastian Pilberg. But to his dismay, Zebastian Pilberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Börje Vassenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kennet Alrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kennet Alrot struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Börje Vassenius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skånes Fagerhult. Kennet Alrot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börje Vassenius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. If Josef Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zebastian Pilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mark Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Zebastian Pilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Åkesson having to interfere. In the 28th minute of the match Ulrik Lustig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mark Åkesson skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Hedlund in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Åkesson saved Skånes Fagerhult from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Skånes Fagerhult got a freekick which was hit by Bo Bergström. Josef Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Åkesson having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Skånes Fagerhult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Beck to maneuver through the defense. When Zebastian Pilberg came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Önnestad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zebastian Pilberg couldn't finish the play. Mark Åkesson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zebastian Pilberg's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Skånes Fagerhult's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Hedlund came free, but Mark Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Önnestad's Zebastian Pilberg in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 45th match minute, Önnestad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Johan Gustavsson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Önnestad's Börje Vassenius got control of the ball when Erling Koch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Önnestad were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Josef Hedlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mikael Almkvist was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, Önnestad's Karl-Johan Gustavsson got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Erling Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66thth minute of the game Erling Koch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Önnestad's Börje Vassenius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Josef Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Hedlund in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mark Åkesson saved Skånes Fagerhult from getting behind. Mark Åkesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josef Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Alrot in the 93rd minute of play forced Önnestad's goalkeeper Börje Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Josef Hedlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Önnestad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Skånes Fagerhult throughout the match.
