After having played for 18 minutes, Börje Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björkvik IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Mattsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eskil Almkvist hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Sven Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliot Bammerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Tillman having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elliot Bammerman in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig Tillman saved Sevilla FC from getting behind. Elliot Bammerman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Tillman having to interfere. Stig Tillman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Mattsson in the 41st minute of the match. Börje Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 59th minute, Börje Mattsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stig Tillman. The goal made the score 1-2. Hannes Sandberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmy Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hannes Sandberg ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Åberg in the 69th minute of play forced Björkvik IF's goalkeeper Jimmy Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig Tillman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Eskilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jimmy Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Sven Åberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmy Söderström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
