The audience was convinced that Sven-Olof Kvarnström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrik Åström was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Stafsinge IF's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Törnqvist came free, but Henrik Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Ture Stål was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Persy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stafsinge IF the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Persy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ture Stål to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Sven-Olof Kvarnström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Persy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Olof Kvarnström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Åström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stafsinge IF's goalkeeper Henrik Åström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thomas Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Gustavsson in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Ivar Gustavsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stafsinge IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Gustavsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute of the match, Isaac Vesterberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomas Kristiansson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Henrik Åström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivar Gustavsson to make the kick off. Stafsinge IF's Henrik Åström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Stafsinge IF from getting a goal against them. Henrik Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conny Törnqvist in the 56th minute of the match. Persy FC's Conny Törnqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thomas Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Vesterberg in the 61st minute of play. Henrik Åström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Kvarnström went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Calle Edström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Jonathan Tönnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Persy FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Calle Edström hit a great ball. Henrik Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Törnqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Conny Törnqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Åström having to interfere. Kristoffer Alefors kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Stafsinge IF's goalkeeper Henrik Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Olof Kvarnström. In a very dangerous position, a player in Persy FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Thomas Kristiansson went to the wrong direction when Harry Berglund was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Conny Törnqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrik Åström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Persy FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
