In the 3rd minute of the match, Åke Tillman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frans Smefeldt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Bertil Blomqvist fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK TUMBA's protests and gave Bertil Blomqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Bertil Blomqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in IFK TUMBA's zone, Åke Tillman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Smefeldt came out of the goal and Åke Tillman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elliot Myr struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Frans Smefeldt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ätran. Anders Hellsing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Arenstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Smefeldt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Åke Tillman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. The supporters of IFK TUMBA booed when Ätran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Kruse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Erik Kruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee showed Sven-Erik Kruse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Sven-Erik Kruse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Åke Tillman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ätran's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Tillman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Åke Tillman made a kick off. Kristian Arenstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Hellsing having to interfere. IFK TUMBA's Henric Åhman got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åke Tillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henric Åhman's late challenge caught a Ätran's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henric Åhman helped the player get up and apologised. Henric Åhman kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Elliot Myr notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of IFK TUMBA's Frans Smefeldt. Frans Smefeldt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frans Smefeldt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Åke Tillman's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78thth minute of the game Åke Tillman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK TUMBA's Frans Smefeldt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. IFK TUMBA's Frans Smefeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Myr in the 79th minute of play. If Åke Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliot Myr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Elliot Myr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Smefeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Elliot Myr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ätran's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliot Myr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frans Smefeldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Åke Tillman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ätran fans cheered their team off the field, for while IFK TUMBA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
