Spectators: 7277 (Terracing: 5460, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Svedala's Jonas Nordin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Bolander in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray SK's zone, Michael Söderberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Ekegren came out of the goal and Michael Söderberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Ekegren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Söderberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Karl-Ove Tunander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Ove Tunander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Nordin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Söderberg in the 16th minute of play forced Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Sebastian Ekegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christer Bolander took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Nordin. Jonas Nordin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Bolander during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Galatasaray SK got a freekick which was hit by Christer Bolander. Michael Söderberg struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Sebastian Ekegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svedala. After recieving a nice pass, Galatasaray SK's Per-Åke Ros tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Karl-Ove Tunander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jonas Nordin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Svedala's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Tunander came free, but Jonas Nordin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gösta Bergren got free with Sebastian Ekegren in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rickard Björkkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Christer Bolander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Bolander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Söderberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Michael Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gösta Bergren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Ekegren having to interfere. Jonas Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Bolander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Svedala's Gösta Bergren got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Svedala's Gösta Bergren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Ekegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Karl-Ove Tunander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Michael Söderberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gösta Bergren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Ekegren having to interfere. The supporters of Galatasaray SK booed when Svedala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Björkkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Svedala's Jonas Nordin got control of the ball when Karl-Ove Tunander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Svedala's Jonas Nordin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Svedala from getting a goal against them. Gösta Bergren struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Sebastian Ekegren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Svedala. In the 81st minute, Gösta Bergren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Ekegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 85 minutes into the match, Svedala's Michael Söderberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Ekegren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Nordin made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Lars-Erik Hedbom sent off a good shot on target. Jörgen Fredriksson's late challenge caught a Galatasaray SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jörgen Fredriksson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Svedala's Jörgen Fredriksson got a free kick in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatasaray SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Svedala.
