Jukkasjärvi IK's Hjalmar Odman pulled a muscle in his back after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joachim Fågel during the 4th minute. Stig Vase recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Kvidinge's Henric Andersson got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Jukkasjärvi IK booed when Kvidinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henric Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Kvidinge's goalkeeper Joar Häger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig Vase. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Stig Vase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jukkasjärvi IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Vase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joar Häger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Kvidinge's Joar Häger got control of the ball when Stig Vase tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Henry Sandwall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henry Sandwall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Joar Häger made a huge save. Stig Vase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Joar Häger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joar Häger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig Vase in the 44th minute. Stig Vase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig Vase was the one to do the kick off. Stig Vase might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joar Häger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Vase ran back to his position shaking his head. Gösta Spets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Stig Vase cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joar Häger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry Sandwall hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Stig Vase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Arvid Hammarström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
