The supporters of Harrie Kävlinge FF booed when FC Nightcrawler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Bäckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Erik Pihlgren was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 30 played minutes FC Nightcrawler got a freekick which was hit by Claes Lidberg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Samuelsson in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronny Wiklund saved FC Nightcrawler from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, FC Nightcrawler's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Samuelsson came free, but Ronny Wiklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tord Samuelsson's late challenge caught a FC Nightcrawler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tord Samuelsson helped the player get up and apologised. Ulf Willig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronny Wiklund having to interfere. Ronny Wiklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulf Willig in the 45th minute. FC Nightcrawler's Ronny Wiklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nightcrawler from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tord Samuelsson made the kick off in the second half. If Tord Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Tord Samuelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronny Wiklund was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Harrie Kävlinge FF's Ulf Willig got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronny Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Samuelsson in the 69th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Pål Matsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 73 minutes into the game, Pål Matsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Per Engström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harrie Kävlinge FF's Per Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Vestlund in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Sakarias Bålström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harrie Kävlinge FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nightcrawler the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Pål Matsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Nightcrawler fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 87th minute, Pål Matsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per Engström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Pål Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per Engström having to interfere.
