The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Öman in the 6th minute of play forced Ad Astra Per Aspera's goalkeeper Aron Lidberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. IF Heimer's Alexander Forssell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Pilberg in the 9th minute of play. Alfred Ekman hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Billy Öman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Lidberg having to interfere. Ernst Wiberg hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Alexander Pilberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IF Heimer's Alexander Forssell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils Vidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ad Astra Per Aspera booed when IF Heimer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Granström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Casper Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casper Lindberg charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casper Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aron Lidberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billy Öman in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Billy Öman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IF Heimer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Billy Öman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 42 played minutes, Ad Astra Per Aspera's Bernt Dahlkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alexander Forssell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ad Astra Per Aspera reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Billy Öman made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, IF Heimer's Anders Kilstedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aron Lidberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in IF Heimer reached it. After 55 minutes, Alexander Pilberg made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. IF Heimer's Alexander Forssell tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aron Lidberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Öman went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alexander Pilberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Forssell having to make a save. Rudolf Walroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Aron Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Ad Astra Per Aspera's Gustaf Persson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexander Forssell. Alexander Forssell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Ad Astra Per Aspera's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Walroth came free, but Aron Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Alexander Forssell managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Ad Astra Per Aspera's Nils Vidman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aron Lidberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudolf Walroth's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Persson in the 86th minute of play forced IF Heimer's goalkeeper Alexander Forssell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Forssell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Pilberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Granström's late challenge caught a Ad Astra Per Aspera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Granström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ad Astra Per Aspera booed when IF Heimer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Granström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Lidberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Walroth went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The Ad Astra Per Aspera players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented IF Heimer from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
