Jimmie Bjursell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victor Vidman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Robert Hydén came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rusksele RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Hydén couldn't finish the play. Gottfrid Palmkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gottfrid Palmkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rusksele RK's Jimmie Bjursell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Danielsson in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rusksele RK's zone, Michael Danielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmie Bjursell came out of the goal and Michael Danielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of IFK Ducks booed when Rusksele RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Robert Hydén came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Rusksele RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Hydén couldn't finish the play. Ludwig Damm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Vennerdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Danielsson to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Robert Hydén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rusksele RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Hydén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, IFK Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Ludwig Damm came free, but Roger Vennerdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gottfrid Palmkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmie Bjursell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Michael Danielsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Rusksele RK's Ludwig Damm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Vennerdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Michael Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. IFK Ducks had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
