The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The attack was good, but when Bo Beckman in the 4th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Karl-Johan Ödman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Beckman in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Levander in the 12th minute of play forced Tomteboda's goalkeeper Jonas Törnkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mattias Myhr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jonas Törnkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Johan Ödman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Engman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sune Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of Myggenäs booed when Tomteboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Knutsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Törnkvist was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Christian Källberg. Sune Nordstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Charles Knutsson's late challenge caught a Myggenäs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Knutsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tomteboda's Charles Knutsson got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Ingvar Melin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tomteboda's Jonas Törnkvist didn't even have to move. Karl-Johan Ödman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens Engman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. If Bo Beckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Knutsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tomteboda's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 99 minutes into the game, one of Tomteboda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ingvar Melin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tomteboda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
