After a rather tough play, Kalix if's Conny Billing got a free kick in the 13th minute. Kaj Springfält sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes Kalix if got a freekick which was hit by Eric Henriksson. In the 26th minute of the match Arvid Billvall sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingemar Blomqvist skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Kalix if booed when Vormsele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kennet Lund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pål Giöck charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pål Giöck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pål Giöck hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes, Kalix if's Dag Mattsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jimmie Rosen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kalix if reached it. Kaj Springfält sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kalix if! In the 47th minute Kennet Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Rikard Stabbe made the kick off in the second half. Kalix if's Ingemar Blomqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Kalix if from getting a goal against them. 56 minutes into the game, Petter Nyman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vormsele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalix if the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Vormsele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petter Nyman to maneuver through the defense. Rikard Stabbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaj Springfält fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Rosen having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Vormsele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Wickander to maneuver through the defense. Jimmie Rosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Springfält, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimmie Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Springfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Vormsele's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Stabbe came free, but Jimmie Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Vormsele got a freekick which was hit by Pål Giöck. Rikard Stabbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jimmie Rosen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Kaj Springfält managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalix if's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Springfält was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmie Rosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rikard Stabbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conny Billing hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Kalix if's Rikard Stabbe got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kaj Springfält had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ingemar Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kennet Lund in the 92nd minute. Vormsele's Jimmie Rosen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Springfält in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vormsele had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
