Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Egon Kellman started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Pär Blomkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tomteboda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bertil Lindsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Kellman in the 11th minute of play. Hallsberg's Bertil Lindsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pär Blomkvist in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hallsberg's Ludvig Bark got a free kick in the 13th minute. Torsten Eriksson's late challenge caught a Tomteboda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. In the 29thth minute of the game Holger Frisck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tomteboda's Nicklas Snäll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hallsberg's Holger Frisck got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hallsberg booed when Tomteboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Deckberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egon Kellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Lindsten having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play Hallsberg's Torsten Eriksson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Tomteboda booed when Hallsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torsten Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pär Blomkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Lindsten having to interfere. After the first half Tomteboda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kjell-Arne Lundin to make the kick off. Bertil Lindsten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Kellman in the 58th minute of play. When Pär Blomkvist came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Tomteboda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pär Blomkvist couldn't finish the play. After 64 minutes, Holger Frisck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hallsberg and the Tomteboda players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tomteboda booed when Hallsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Frisck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes of play, Tomteboda's Pär Blomkvist made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bertil Lindsten was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Hallsberg's Thor Sandberg got a free kick in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Axel Deckberg during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tomteboda booed when Hallsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludvig Bark didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Jonas Alebäck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bertil Lindsten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pär Blomkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egon Kellman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Lindsten having to interfere. The Tomteboda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tomteboda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
