A very good chance. 8 minutes into the game, Fredrik Caspersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Charles Backlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 14 in the game by Tobias Olsson from a close distance when the talented Jan-Olof Adelsköld managed to make a qualified save. Edenberga BK's players were relieved. In the 16th minute, Edenberga BK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonas Kvick fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Edenberga BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tobias Olsson 17 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When Tobias Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Stenungsund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Olsson couldn't finish the play. Edenberga BK's Jan-Olof Adelsköld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Edenberga BK from getting a goal against them. Tobias Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Edenberga BK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bengt-Arne Nordkvist hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Edenberga BK's Krister Brandt got a free kick in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jörgen Fernkvist was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Stenungsund's Rune Axelsson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Tobias Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stenungsund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60thth minute of the game Tobias Olsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edenberga BK's Jan-Olof Adelsköld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan-Olof Adelsköld came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Stenungsund's Ingvar Lundgren. But to his dismay, Ingvar Lundgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Fredrik Caspersson took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Charles Backlund to make any attempt to save it. Charles Backlund was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Fredrik Caspersson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fredrik Caspersson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Stenungsund's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Jörgen Fernkvist scored to the left of an out of position Charles Backlund, making the score, 2-4. Stenungsund's Charles Backlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Fernkvist in the 84th minute of play. Rune Axelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rune Axelsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Edenberga BK booed when Stenungsund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Olof Adelsköld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tobias Olsson went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Stenungsund's Ingvar Lundgren got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
