La Cité de Soleil's Mattias Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Bruse in the 4th minute of play. Husby-Rekarne IFK's Michael Björklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Bivall in the 7th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Husby-Rekarne IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Bivall came free, but Michael Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddie Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Joakim Bivall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Cité de Soleil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Bivall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Björklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Bivall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddie Holmgren struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Mattias Berggren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Husby-Rekarne IFK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magne Skytt got free with Michael Björklund in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Freddie Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mattias Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Freddie Holmgren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Bruse was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Henry Bruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Holmgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Bruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Freddie Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Bruse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michael Björklund came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by La Cité de Soleil's Magne Skytt. But to his dismay, Magne Skytt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Magne Skytt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute Joakim Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvin Kling kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Henry Bruse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Berggren was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Henry Bruse got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
