The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joakim Bivall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Magne Skytt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joakim Bivall might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevin Bergqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Bivall ran back to his position shaking his head. Magne Skytt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Kevin Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Patric Dusett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joakim Bivall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joakim Bivall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kevin Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Cité de Soleil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Arne Asserlind scored to the left of an out of position Mattias Berggren, making the score, 1-0. Magne Skytt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kevin Bergqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Magne Skytt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Edvin Kling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Domsjö RK's Jack Granberg tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Asserlind was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 57 minutes into the game, when Jonatan Cane put in a rough tackle. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Cité de Soleil! Per-Åke Malm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Sven-Arne Gustavsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Cité de Soleil and the Domsjö RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to La Cité de Soleil getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sven-Arne Gustavsson hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Domsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Patric Dusett. La Cité de Soleil's Edvin Kling got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Esbjörnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Esbjörnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Esbjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th match minute, La Cité de Soleil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Malm to maneuver through the defense. Domsjö RK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Cité de Soleil for a fine match.
