Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pelle Bergdal started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Smidarnas IF's Edmund Bredberg got control of the ball when Tommy Vennerdal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tommy Vennerdal kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Smidarnas IF's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Sandell came free, but Edmund Bredberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Trödje IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Larsson came free, but Jerry Siöman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Smidarnas IF's goalkeeper Edmund Bredberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Smidarnas IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommy Vennerdal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 16th minute, Tommy Vennerdal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 17 minutes, Börje Sandell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trödje IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Sandell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Smidarnas IF got a freekick which was hit by Konrad Ersman. Tommy Vennerdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Edmund Bredberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Trödje IK's zone, Jens-Erik Larsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Siöman came out of the goal and Jens-Erik Larsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stellan Spetz got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 44 minutes into the match, Jens-Erik Larsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerry Siöman. Trödje IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Erik Larsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Sandell in the 48th minute of play forced Smidarnas IF's goalkeeper Edmund Bredberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Börje Sandell made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Vennerdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Bredberg having to interfere. Edmund Bredberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Sandell in the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tommy Vennerdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trödje IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Vennerdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmund Bredberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joakim Forsberg hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Jens-Erik Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smidarnas IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Erik Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trödje IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Sandell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmund Bredberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Vennerdal in the 82nd minute of the match. Edmund Bredberg came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Trödje IK's Börje Sandell. But to his dismay, Börje Sandell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Börje Sandell scored 3-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmund Bredberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pelle Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jens-Erik Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trödje IK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
